Well MB06 SR-2 Sniper Rifle

Description:
The Well SR-2 is a great copy of a very successful Maruzen sniper rifle. It looks like a cross between a sniper rifle and an assault rifle. The SR-2 features a 5 position retractable LE stock, and M4 pistol grip. With the retractable butt stock and the entire gun being made almost completely of plastic, the SR-2 is an extremely compact and lightweight sniper. A&K M60VN Full Metal

The A&K M60VN is a full metal AEG version of the M60 machine gun used in Vietnam. The A&K M60VN features an auto-winding box mag and an adjustable rate-of-fire. The folding bipod and metal construction make this beast weight about 20 pounds.

Externally, this features fully adjustable sights and a folding bipod. The battery is stored inside the magazine sack on the side of the gun, and is easy to access. It fits a mini 9.6v easily, and could carry up to 2000Mah battery inside the cloth sack. The auto-winding box mag feeds along with the gearbox, ensuring the magazine feeds in sync with the gun.

Internally, the A&K M60 VN uses the same gearbox as the A&K and Classic Army M249, including the quick change spring feature. 8mm bearings and standard steel gears are the norm in A&K and Echo1 Machine Guns, and are found here as well. The rate of fire adjuster is unique to this AEG. The ROF is adjusted by turning the very front of the gas assembly. Once set, the adjustor can be locked with a threaded ring.

Our test model chrono'd at 360fps. With the hop-up set, it acheived above average range and accuracy. This is due in part to the 590mm inner barrel. With the Rate-Of-Fire adjusted down, this AEG maintains a steady, slow ROF very similar to the real M60. (It can even be adjusted slower, if desired). The outer barrel can be removed with the takedown lever, and allows for easy cleaning of the barrel or installation of a tightbore.

Echo1 Master Series MP5A4

Eliminate Lens Fogging

Having your vision impaired in the middle of a skirmish can be very dangerous. Fogging occurs when the outside of your lens is a different temperature than the inside, causing condensation to occur. Steaming can happen from the evaporation of sweat or the condensation from your breath coming up into your goggles during an intense game. Goggles with good ventilation will minimize these problems, especially if you keep moving to increase airflow.

If you encounter severe fog or steam problems during a game, DO NOT remove your goggles to wipe them unless you are in a designated safe zone. Even in a safe zone, make sure to be aware of your surroundings, and try to get assistance from another player. If there are no teammates around to help you, simply call yourself out so you can take care of the problem. Once you are safe to remove your goggles, wipe the inside dry with a microfiber or other anti-scratch cloth. Do not use tissue or anything else that will flake apart and stick to the lens. Also avoid using any sort of cleaning solution that will affect the coating on the lens.

Here are some options to prevent fog and steam issues:

Thermal Lenses
The lens of a thermal goggle is made with two lens panes. The air trapped between the two lenses prevents a drastic temperature difference between the outer and inner lenses, which in turn prevents condensation. The inner lens on thermal goggles tends to be much softer than the outer lens, so be sure to clean them with care to avoid scratches. Steam issues are still possible on a thermal lens, but it is generally less of a problem.

Goggle Fans
A goggle fan attaches to the frame of your goggle and has a wire that runs along the headband to an external battery and switch. While they are a bit cumbersome, they offer excellent air flow even while staying still. Make sure to check that your pair of goggles has a frame that supports a fan before buying one.

Anti-Fog Solution
Anti-fog coating is very hit or miss. Many lenses come with a coating that prevents fog, but that will never prevent it entirely. The eye protection built to Military standards generally have less fogging issues out of the box. There are after-market products such as "Cat Crap" that can be applied to the inside of a lens as needed to help prevent fogging. A search around forums will reveal some household products that may work, including toothpaste, shaving cream, or plain old spit!

Note that your results will vary with any anti-fog solution, home-made or store bought. It is possible they will damage your lens, especially the cheaper ones. Any existing fog protection, anti-scratch coating, or the reflective properties could be affected

WE Full Metal Luger

Jing Gong AU-2G

The AUG (Armee Universal Gewehr - "Universal Army Rifle") is an Austrian 5.56 mm assault rifle, designed in the early 1970s by Steyr Mannlicher & Company. The AUG was designed as a modular, bullpup family of rifles that could be quickly adapted to a wide variety of roles. Bull pup rifles are firearms configured with the action and magazine behind the trigger. This configuration increases the barrel length relative to the overall weapon length, permitting shorter weapons, saving weight and increasing maneuverability. The AUG is a configuration rifle that employs a high level of synthetic and advanced alloy components. The Jing Gong Steyr AUG A2 is a redesigned version of the A1 that boasts a new charging handle and an integrated scope.

Jing Gong's recent release of the AU-1G has been topped by their latest Airsoft Steyr AUG Release: the AU-2G. The AU-2G is also know as Jing Gong airsoft model number JG0449A. Jing Gong Airsoft Gun Company has again created an excellent airsoft TM/CA clone that can be had for under $175USD.

While it looks like the earlier version, the Jing Gong AU-2G has some surprising differences. First, the body is made of Solid Nylon ABS plastic, and has the feel of the real Steyr AUG composite material. The barrel, scope mount, scope body, upper receiver, sling mounts and gas tube are all metal. The color is an olive/drab grey shade; very close to the real Steyr Aug. The 330-round hicap magazine is the wind-up waffle style, constructed of nylon ABS plastic. Just holding the AU-2G, It is obvious Jing Gong Built it to take a beating on the airsoft skirmish field. The Jing Gong AU-2G comes with an integrated, adjustable 1.5x magnifying scope. The Au-2G scope optics are crystal clear! The scope body has open sites on top if you cannot use the scope in low lighting or CQB scenarios. We have noticed that some of the scopes have tilted cross-hairs out of the box. This is easily fixed with an inside span wrench to turn the scope optics ever so slightly. There is also a collapsible front grip. It's solid, but has a tolerable wobble to it. Pulling back the mock charging handle exposes the Hop-up dial located on the stock. The Hop-up can be accessed on the left or the right, accommodating left-handed and right-handed airsoft players. The Jing Gong AU-2G also sports easy field disassembly into 3 main components (Stock, upper receiver, and barrel assemblies). The Jing Gong Au-2G is approximately 31.5 inches long and weighs in at 7lbs 11oz when empty.


Safety

Following the design of the real steel Steyr AUG, this Airsoft Bullpup rifle functions the same way. The safety is a push button type with a red or white dot indicating safe and fire modes. Semi-Automatic fire is accomplished by pulling the trigger half-way. Depressing the trigger all the way switches to full-auto fire. The JG AU-2G chrono'd rate of fire is around 15 rounds per second (900 rpm) using a Guarder 2000 chronograph. The AU-2G comes with an 8.4v 1100mAh mini-battery that fits into the rear of the stock. You might be able to get a 1200mAh battery in there, but it would be tight; there's not much room for battery upgrades. With the included battery we fired four full hi-cap magazines through it before the voltage started to drop off. The fifth magazine drained out the remaining charge. The AU-2G sports a metal Version 3 Gearbox and rubber hop-up. With .2g TSD Tactical BBs we chrono'd the AU-2G between 342 - 351 Feet Per Second (FPS). Accuracy with .2g - .25g BBs was pretty good up to 100-150 feet. We were able to hit a soda can consistently at 150 feet.

Unjamming An Airsoft Gun

10 Easy Steps On Unjamming An Airsoft Gun?

.Stop firing immediately.
.Continuing to fire may result in a broken piston or gear.
.Check to see if any object is clogged in the barrel.
.Turn off your hop up by setting it to zero.
.With the opposite end of a cleaning rod, insert it into the barrel.
.Turn the gun upside down.
.Gently push the airsoft pellet back into the magazine.
.After the airsoft pellet has cleared from the barrel, test fire a few shots without ammo.
.If the gun sounds fine, test fire with an airsoft pellet.
.If the problem continues, contact a local dealer regarding repairs.

Additional Problems

If the plastic cleaning rod breaks, use long narrow bolt grabbers to grip the broken rod and slowly remove. It is very unlikely but if a metal cleaning rod breaks in the barrel use a mini screw magnet.

More Advice

.An airsoft player can use a 22 caliber-cleaning rod to unjam the barrel.

Dissasemble Body of M4 CQB

This is a basic disassembly guide for the M4 Commando. I have the CQB-OPS model, but most of this information should still be relevant. Steps in parenthesis are optional and are not necessary to access the gearbox.

The RAS/ Battery Compartment (Commando series only)

1. Remove the battery
2. Remove the two battery compartment screws, and then push the two "open" buttons and remove the lower section of the RAS.
(3). If you look at the inside, you should be able to see a piece that clamps the upper RAS to the outer barrel. Remove the two screws and take the clamp piece off. You should now be able to remove the upper RAS by lifting and sliding it away from the delta ring.
(4). Using a small hex key, loosen the small screw underneath the orange flash hider. Turn the flash hider "right" to loosen it. (It's "reverse threaded").
(5). Loosen the screws that hold the gas block (the RAS section that the front sight attaches to). You can now slide this piece off without totally removing the screws.

The Stock (optional) (Folding stock only)

(1). Fold the stock
(2). Loosen the ring (roughly 1 in in diameter) that is closest to the body of the gun. (this ring should be snugged with the body of the gun when re-assembled)
(3). Remove the bolt in the main body of the gun (just above the pistol grip) that attaches the pivot-joint to the body.
(4). Close the pivot joint
(5). loosen the second ring (should be snugged against the pivot-joint) and loosen the small screw at the bottom of the pivot joint.
(6). unscrew the telescoping stock from the pivot-joint

The Body

1. Near the front of the gun you will notice wiring zip-tied to the outer barrel. You will notice a black plastic cylinder on the top: this contains the fuse. You should also notice two parts of the wiring that look shrink-wrapped. These are actually connectors. They must be detached, just pull them apart. Cutting the zip ties should not be necessary.
2. Once the wires are detached, unscrew the main body pins, starting with the one closest to the muzzle. Use a flathead screwdriver.
3. The first pin (closest to the muzzle) should come out without much trouble. The second pin is a little more tricky. Use the first pin to tap out the second pin with a screw driver. It won't give at all at first, but then it should come out smoothly.
4. Once the pins are removed, begin sliding the upper receiver away from the lower receiver. It should catch. Grab the charging handle, pull it back, and lift. you should now be able to slide the upper receiver off. Be careful to note where the two wires you detached earlier slide through the base of the delta ring, you'll need to feed them back through for reassembly.

Cleaning an Airsoft Gun

After extreme activity, do you have to perform proper cleaning (shower) to yourself? If you never took a shower in your life, do you think you would be happy and able to accomplish task? You already know the correct answer. That’s what your airsoft gun experiences when you don’t care for it properly with healthy cleaning. Caring for your airsoft gun is essential to prolong its quality and life.

How do you tell which type of airsoft gun you own? By identifying your gun’s source of power, there are three different types of airsoft guns; spring, electric, and gas. The spring-powered guns are probably the most difficult to find the power source because in most cases you won’t be able to find anything (the springs are throughout the gun). With the electric gun, you are searching for a battery pack, which looks like two cylinders attached together. On gas powered airsoft guns, you are look for a type of gas tank attacked to the gun.

• Spring: means your gun uses springs to operate
• Electric: means your gun uses a battery pack and springs to operate
• Gas: means your gun uses pressurized gas

Each type of airsoft gun is basically cleaned with the same procedure.

To prevent unnecessary malfunctions, clean your gun on regular occasions. The most common reason for failures is due to poor maintenance. Use the following cleaning guide to properly care for your airsoft gun.
Exterior
1. Remove the battery or gas tank
2. Use a clean cloth to wipe clean
3. For the grit, use cotton swabs
4. Finished

Magazine
1. Remove the magazine from the gun
2. Wipe down the gun with a clean cloth
3. Use cotton swabs to clean the small areas
4. Add a few drops of oil to any moving parts
5. Insert magazine back into the gun
6. Finished

Barrel
1. Turn off your gun’s hop up system
2. Use a cleaning rod with the .22 cleaning patch
3. Add a small amount of silicon spray to the patch
4. Insert the cleaning rod into the barrel
5. Swab the inside with an in and out motion
6. After a few swabs, remove rod from barrel
7. Replace with a new dry patch
8. Repeat steps 4 and 5 with the clean patch (this clears any remaining residue in the barrel)
9. Finished

Caution: Cleaning your gun properly on regular occasion might cause it to have enhanced performance, such as more accuracy, less jamming, quicker shooting, and longer life. Ask yourself, “Would I be happy if I was dirty all the time?”

Bell Meister G17

Glock's 9mm Parabellum pistol was first introduced to the American public by Soldier of Fortune Magazine almost eight years ago (See "Plastic Perfection," SOF, October '84). Since that time more than 350 U.S. local law enforcement and federal agencies have adopted or authorized the Glock as a duty weapon With the exception of the slide, frame, barrel, locking block, recoil spring, recoil-spring guide rod and slide lock spring, all other components are interchangeable between the Models 22 and 23.

There are only 37 parts in these models, including the magazine. Glock says there are 35, but I count the sights and firing-pin spring cups as two components each. Of little matter, as in either case this is still less than half the number of bits and pieces found in competing designs. This remarkable history of success in just eight years is matched by Glock's even more remarkable design itself. Glock's only condescension to conventionality is the pistol's method of operation. Short-recoil operated, the barrel is locked to the slide by a single lug, which recesses into the ejection port in the manner of the SIG-Sauer series.

During the recoil stroke, the barrel moves rearward approximately 3mm until the bullet leaves the barrel and pressures drop to safe level. At this time the barrel drops downward, separating from the slide and terminating any further motion. The slide's continued rearward movement and counter-recoil cycle are those of the Browning types.

The Bravo RDW (Rapid Deployment Weapon) Airsoft Gun is an excellent CQB option for those what want a different look from the traditional CQB M4. The RDW features a slim down version of the M4 lower receiver, a one piece upper receiver with rails and a folding metal stock. Even the pistol grip and magazines have been slimmed down to save weight. Although the magazines are smaller this gun is compatible with regular M4 magazines. The folding stock allows the user access to small spaces without compromising cover or ability to fire. Other enhancements over a standard M4 include ambidextrous fire selector and magazine release, also this gun features a realistic bolt catch. This is easily the smallest M4 variant available.
