Airsoft Laws

In most countries, the government does not require you to have a license for owning airsoft guns however the law does require the firepower limit not to surpass a certain boundary. This limit is regularly between 300 to 350 fps indoors and 350 to 450 outdoors. Keep in mind that different states and countries have different limits and rules so check before playing.

Different Countries
Owning airsoft guns are legal in most countries without having a license. These countries include the USA (excluding some States), England, France, Sweden, Russia, Norway, Argentina, Italy, Switzerland, and many other parts of the country.

Public Places

An Airsoft gun should not be displayed in public unless in a glass case because it looks identical to the real thing. This gun is normally a replica of a real gun. Because of the realistic look of this replica, most schools forbid airsoft guns on school grounds.

Minimum Age
The minimum age limit for owning an airsoft gun changes in different countries. For example, in the United States (USA) the minimum age for purchasing an airsoft gun is 18 years old. On the other hand, In the United Kingdom (UK) has the minimum age limit for purchasing an airsoft gun set at 17 years old and an adult must supervise a child between the ages of 14 to 17. Then anyone under the age of 14 years old cannot own or use an airsoft gun under the UK law.

Orange Barrel Tips
In the United States, every airsoft gun must have the barrel with a 6mm tip painted orange/red to distinguish it from a real gun. In countries like France and England require nothing at all. The orange barrel tip law in other countries is unknown so checking the local airsoft gun laws are recommended before use.
